Pixel Tanks

Pixel Tanks is a top down combat game where the player controls a tank, and must defeat all enemies in an increasingly hard campaign.

The game is not yet fully finished: more content will be added soon, and bugs could be encountered (nothing gamebreaking though).

The game is available for Linux and Windows !

 Features:

• Numerous levels featuring unique items to provide varied gameplay : lower and raise walls with levers, open new paths by destroying bricks and crates, ...
• A smart AI for the enemies, allowing them to dodge your bullets, use predictive aiming, take cover, ... All enemies have a unique behaviour, and sometimes special abilities like calling reinforcements, a shields that regenerate...
• Weapons and abilities that can be combined to perform devastating combos !
• A level editor that allows you to create custom levels ! Choose from numerous unique themes, background musics, enemies and blocks to create your own campaign and share it
• Achievements !
• Multiple languages (for now : French and English)

Controls :

• Controls are rebindable in the game.
• WASD to move around
• Left click to shoot
• Right click to use a secondary weapon (Mines, magnetic harpoon)
• F to use the shockwave.

The game was made in the first half of 2024 as an optional college project. It was worked on by a single person. It was then continued in 2025.

It is heavily inspired by other, similar games, such as Tiny Tanks by Retro Gears, and Wee Tanks by Studio Kit.
