Island Invasion

Island Invasion is a first person shooter where you fight waves of enemy robots to liberate the islands !

Features:

• Many islands, randomly selected and placed in the map, with unique layouts and themes
• Numerous weapons, with wildly different stats, capabilities and secondary fire
• Fast movement featuring sliding, wall jump, jetpack, ...
• Fast paced gunplay with various projectile (not hitscan) weapons, bullet time mechanic and varied enemies
• Smart and reactive AI opponents, coming in waves using drop pods, and each with unique behaviours and abilities (strafing, taking cover, using personal energy shields, weapon secondary fire, melee attacks, ...)

Controls :

• WASD to move
• Mouse to look around
• Spacebar to jump / use jetpack
• Left click to shoot
• Right click to use secondary fire (scope, underbarrel, ...)
• E to interact (pick up weapons, ...)
• Left Control to slide
• Left Alt to activate bullet time
• F to throw grenades

This game was made in august 2022. It uses lots of assets and code from a previous, canceled project.

Heavy inspiration was drawn from a game by creator Timbelion, but I tried to make the concept my own : Planet Jumper (https://timbelion.itch.io/planet-jumper)
